Untitled Photo While Tatyana Kluyeva, an elementary school teacher, spent two years on maternity leave, with the advent of new digital technologies her job requirements and responsibilities underwent a significant change, and she was asked to take a retraining course and a number of qualifying tests, which included computer-based assignments. This challenge brought Tatyana to the Tvoy Kurs Center of Chelyabinsk public library.

A creative and enthusiastic trainer, she is willing to help anyone who needs assistance. Thanks to the training she received during her Digital Literacy training at Tvoy Kurs Center, the alumna has developed and launched her personal website on Gallery.ru, and continues to interact with her trainees and like-minded embroidery enthusiasts online.

Vladimir Kazachenok Faced with the need to find a new job or maybe even change careers, Vladimir Kazachenok from Togliatti realized that e-skills would open up all but unlimited possibilities in this area. He took a Digital Literacy course at the Tvoy Kurs Center Of Togliatti State University and quickly landed a trader job with one of the local companies.

However, after she completed a course in Digital Literacy at her local Tvoy Kurs Center, received an official Digital Literacy Сertificate from Microsoft, and then went on to complete a secretary course, her efforts finally began to pay off: she was offered a secretarial position with the same local Center for Social Services where she had taken her Digital Literacy training.

Zoya Menkeyeva As part of European Get Online Week, Zoya Menkeyeva from Elista organized a digital literacy express course right in her home. She learned about Get Online Week from an e-mail newsletter and immediately decided to teach computer basics to some of her friends. As the result, she helped eight senior citizens to get online for the first time.

Untitled Photo Most of her life Dr. Elza Khasanova from Moscow worked in the field of veterinary research. Now she is retired but continues to contribute to the academic community, writing articles on animal anthropology and zoopsychology. However recently she encountered a new challenge: publishers and editors of academic journals and monographs required all materials to be submitted via e-mail in electronic format, yet Dr. Khasanova didn’t have a home computer and had no digital skills.
