| Internet Safety for Children and Adults | | On 4 June 2010, the YCDL Center of the Saratov State University for Social and Economic Studies held a public seminar “Children’s Online Safety” where eighth-graders of the School for Applied Sciences looked at and discussed Microsoft-developed materials on Internet safety and security. Among other things, the students watched animation videos, looked at Internet network services, talked about virus writing and dis-cussed issues of personal safety and security when meeting new people on the Internet. Their teachers expressed sincere gratitude for the seminar to YCDL Center workers and Microsoft Corporation, and prom-ised to revisit this important topic during computer science classes in September, at the start of the new academic year.
