| A Workshop in Job Search Skills |
The Digital Literacy Center of the IT Academy in Novosibirsk held a seminar in employment search skills, attended by job seekers, senior citizens, people with disabilities and children from low-income families.
The seminar was facilitated by trainer Aleksandr Balatzky who talked about ways and means of dealing with losing employment: where to go, who to talk to, where local employment agencies are located and what their working hours are. Each participant received a brochure with helpful links to job sites, instructions for getting registered and posting a résumé.
During the practical part of the seminar the seminar participants learned to use Internet search engines to search for employment related information. They all appreciated the seminar for its practical relevance to their current needs and expressed their warm gratitude to its organizers and facilitator.
